5 WAYS TO BOOST YOUR CREATIVITY

This week's blog is written by our lovely guest blogger Chloe Williamson.

We all go through times when we feel like we’ve lost our creative spark, so here are a few ideas on how you can get your creative juices flowing.

Finding time to be creative can be a struggle, but it is such an important aspect in your life that shouldn’t go unfulfilled. Whether you need time to yourself, or need a new creative outlet / hobby, we’ve got some cool ideas for you to try!

TRY AN ADULT COLOURING BOOK

I know it sounds crazy, but colouring is a serious stress reliever and can be so much fun, and there are loads of different books to choose from.

Whether you’re a fashion fanatic, animal lover or looking for something to calm your anxiety, there's a colouring book for everyone.

DON'T GET DISTRACTED, GET BUSY!

Instead of picking up your phone and scrolling endlessly for hours on TikTok, turn off your notifications and get brainstorming! If you’ve ever thought about starting a small business, get yourself a journal and start writing down your ideas.

CREATE A VISION BOARD

Now you might have seen these everywhere recently, but there is a reason for that, they are super fun to create and extremely useful to have.

If you’re someone that prefers to visualise their goals and loves arts and crafts, this is the perfect way to get your creativity flowing! Grab some of your favourite magazines, some card, pens and get designing. Think about what you want to achieve in your career or even what you want to own in 5 years, it will really help you get an idea of who you are and what you want.

LISTEN TO MUSIC

Now this one might feel like a bit of an obvious one, but it’s a well known fact that music boosts your mood and can even lower anxiety, meaning your brain is going to be more open to creativity.

So, put on your favourite playlist and relax, maybe even have a little dance, because why not!

EXERCISE YOUR MIND, NOT JUST YOUR BODY

Don’t get it twisted, exercising is one of the most important things when looking after yourself, but keeping your mind happy is even more vital!

You can exercise your mind in so many different ways, read a book, get a new hobby or even advance your knowledge in a skill you already have. No matter how you decide to do it, remember that everything you do is for your benefit, so be patient, be kind and have fun.
